The Transactional analysis is a document that explains the phenomena of a transaction. In Medicine it is used to determine the ego state of the subject. In other industries, it are used to determine the feasibility and the viability of a certain direction. Generally, it are used to determine the state of any point of contact via theory explanations. In short it can be used in multiple industries to explain transaction phenomena.

Transactional analysis are commenced with a descriptive paragraph explaining the transaction- phenomenon that is occurring, "scene." In this paragraph explain the objective and subjective data that are collected via observation and questioning- Informational Interview. The descriptive paragraph further explains the who, what, why, when and how of the phenomenon. An example paragraph is below:
Jane Doe (who) is in office requesting help for the problem she is experiencing in society (subjective). Jane currently works at a restaurant where she serves as a cashier (objective). She has been experiencing a difficult time with paying her rent and utilities and would like information on a loan (what). She owes approximately $500.00 to the Land Lord and $85.00 for utilities (objective). She states that she has exhausted her network with previous requests for loans and now has no where to turn (why). She had to purchase emergency items for her kids such as baby food and clothing for the weather (how). She seeks the assistance of office to find a rectification. She needs the funds before the month closes (when).
The next paragraph is the theory section of the document. In this section describe the relevant theories that pertain to a decision being rendered by the worker and cite them adequately. The goal here is to integrate the theory into practice. A sample paragraph is provided below:
In the situation above, the worker implements the following theories in order to be able to create a Requisition/ Referral for the client, whereas the service did not exist internally.
The worker must utilize Political Broker Theory (A State Consultancy ENT 2023). To analyze the phenomena so that a decision can be rendered which involves the accessing of competence of both the worker and the client. The Informational Interview revealed the client’s general competence where she verbalized that she is experiencing problems in society specifically with regards to debt. As for the worker, he must access the following core specific competencies in order to render a decision. Specifically, Knowledge. The worker must have Knowledge of Finance and he or she must be aware of the Systems and Processes that administer it- Canadian Lenders Association, Consumer Protection BC and legislations; Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act, The Criminal Code, Payday Loans Act, 2008 and internal services.
The worker then implements Structural Functional Theory by virtue of Political Science Implementation Theory. Political Science Implementation Theory (A State Consultancy ENT 2023) says that the worker can use Sociological Imagination, Symbolic Interactionism and Social Learning to implement Political Science action. This means that by using Political Science Implementation Theory, the worker can look at the government body through the lens of Structural Functionalism so that solutions can be conjured. Within the Structural Functional Theory- there is the process of Interest Aggregation wherein subject matters become political resources (Bingham 2012). The worker than accesses medical and legal services (political resources) within the society and finds the “Referral” or “Requisition” processes.
The worker defines “Referral” as the act of referring someone for consultation. The worker defines “Requisition” as a demand or request. The medical resources are the following: a referral “sends you to another provider for care that they don’t provide.” (Tricare 2024). As for the legal resource, “a requisition is a document (Form 17) that asks the Court registry to do something or asks a judge to make a particular order” (Supreme Court BC 2023). Investopedia in 2024 describes a Requisition as a method to "formally request a service or item, typically using a purchase requisition form or another standardized document."
With all the mentioned, the worker implements The Theory of Practical Application (A State Consultancy ENT 2023) and critical thinking as well as social and polytechnic learning within their general competence (Political Broker Theory) in order to conjure or add to an Action Plan. And with that the worker must create a “Referral” and a “Requisition.” This is created by virtue of Social Constructionism as the worker recalls and researches how these documents appear and their function. When the critical thinking is completed, the forms are generated by the worker.
The last paragraph is the plan of action. This paragraph explains the information that the worker requests of the client. In this situation, the worker is going to refer the client to lenders but also implements Structural Functional Theory to create a policy proposal regarding the interaction wherein Theory of Political Law (A State Consultancy ENT 2023) is used to create “public decrees.”
The public decree here is: PROPOSED POLICY CHANGES/ SOCIAL ASSISTANCE
The Requisition/ Referral- Consider going to Money Mart, Cash Money, or Money Tree to request a payday loan.
The paragraph below serves as an example:
Jane Doe was sent by virtue of a requisition to consider seeking the help of the following establishments: Money Mart, Cash Money, or Money Tree. The reason she was referred to these places is that so she can avail of a payday loan. It is also a possibility that the client can avail of government supports by which a referral was created. Further a public decree via a Policy brief was created regarding government aid in an effort to progress the Action Plan regarding government services. Lastly a Petition was produced regarding changes to social assistance. The document was served to Jane and is waiting signature approval.
Every Transactional Analysis has a WORK CITED section. For this section go over the citations that were used in the document and cite via MLA, APA or Chicago. When the Work Cited is completed, publish the work on a publication to complete the Scientific Method. An example is below.
